Earthwalk Gathering
As the summer marches on, we are reminded
that it is the traditional time for people from distant places
to gather together. We would like to invite you and your family
to our annual Earthwalk Gathering. Camping around a lush field,
we will enjoy each other’s friendships while sharing in an
assortment of primitive and wilderness living skills. A variety
of workshops will be offered throughout the weekend, which may
include wild edible plant walks, fire by friction, flint
knapping, tanning, basketry, weaving and spinning, knot working,
wilderness cooking, primitive shelter building as well as fun
children’s activities. Saturday evening we will once again host
a traditional salmon feast with all the trimmings. Sunday
morning we gather together for our traditional trading session
and see what wonderful and interesting items people have brought
from afar. You never know what treasures you may find! We hope
you can join us in renewing old friendships and kindling new
ones. We welcome all, new participants and returning friends
alike.
Note: Arrival time
will begin at 10:00am on Friday with workshop registration
starting at 11:00am. Opening circle will be about 1:00pm with
the first workshops beginning at 2:00pm. Further information
will be included in each family’s registration packet. We hope
to see you there.
