Traditional Arrow Making

Hand-crafted arrows are tools of beauty and function. Learn to make your own arrow from traditional materials and lash wild turkey feathers using deer sinew to fletch your arrows. Heat straightening the arrow shaft is an important component of this class. Complete your arrow by hafting a stone point or bone point that you are given in class. Finally, design your own personal crest and paint it onto the arrow shaft with earthen pigments.

Master craftsman Frank Sherwood guides you through each step of the arrow- making process, offering many insights into the traditions of arrow making and sharing many of his own hunting stories.
