Soap and Soup: The Traditions of Old Windsor

Soap making traditions are steeped in history, and none more so than Brown Windsor Soap.  The original recipe was made in Windsor, England and brought to fame as the soap favored by Napoleon, a lover of scents, as well as a favorite of Queen Victoria.  It was a soap that traveled across our country as it accompanied Lewis and Clark on their journey west.

Join us to bring forward the traditions of old as we create this soap.  A hearty pot of Brown Windsor Soup will be served for class to expand on the theme.

Made in January, these spicy and luxurious soaps will be ready to share with your Valentine by February 14th! Each student will go home with the equivalent of six bars of soap and the recipe and knowledge to create much more.

Note: The soup is not made from the soap ;)
