As the summer marches on, we are reminded that it is the traditional time for people from distant places to gather together. We invite you and your family to our annual Earthwalk Gathering. Camping around a lush field, we enjoy each other’s friendships while sharing in an assortment of ancestral and wilderness living skills.
A variety of workshops are offered throughout the weekend, which may include wild edible plant walks, fire by friction, flint knapping, tanning, basketry, weaving and spinning, knot working, wilderness cooking, and ancestral shelter building as well as fun children’s activities.
Saturday evening we host a traditional salmon feast with all the trimmings. Sunday morning we gather together for our traditional trading session and see what wonderful and interesting items people have brought from afar. You never know what treasures you may find! We hope you can join us in renewing old friendships and kindling new ones. We welcome all, new participants and returning friends alike.
Cost includes on-site tenting, workshop participation, and Saturday evening's feast.
Note: Arrival time begins at 10:00 am on Friday, with workshop registration starting at 11:00 am. Opening circle is about 1:00 pm, and the first workshops begin at 2:00 pm. Additional information is included in each family’s registration packet. We hope to see you there!
